<image:title>Blog - “Tell your story” - I have a scar on the left side of my head from the severe head injury I sustained back in 2005.</image:title>
<image:caption>I healed miraculously but my fifteen year-old self wasn’t equipped to process what had just happened to me. Three months later, when it was time to go back to school to start my sophomore year, I was self conscious about my scar where I no longer had any hair. Considering I was incredibly fortunate to be alive, it sounds inconsequential - which it is, really. But I had recovered and it was time to face normal life. It was time to be '“normal” again. I walked down the halls sporting a new, long hairstyle to hide my scar. Everyone knew about the tragedy that I had just faced, but all I knew to do was what we’re all taught to do in our culture - act like I had it all together. Try harder. Succeed more. Look perfect.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Ryan - About Ryan</image:title>
<image:caption>Ryan suffered from chronic pain for nearly 15 years following a neck fracture and severe head injury from a car accident. With no hope of recovery from any doctor, his condition compounded over the years until he found himself on disability at just 24 years old. Through the pain, Ryan learned what it means to fully rely on God, found hope and experienced healing. Ryan is passionate about sharing his story with others so that they can learn from his journey.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Resources - Chronic Pain Resources</image:title>
<image:caption>God’s timing isn’t always our timing. Many times it isn’t, actually. It’s easy in the waiting to wonder where God is and if He cares. Dealing with chronic pain, and any medical issue, is an unbelievably hard journey. Before suffering with chronic pain, I hated to read and really struggled with it. Through my healing journey, I discovered the power of knowledge and the possibility of the renewal of our minds. It wasn’t quick, and it definitely wasn’t easy, but I can honestly say now that I am thankful for the 15 years of physical pain that I suffered from because God used this time in my life to draw me closer to Him and reveal to me countless truths about myself, pain and healing — physical, emotional and spiritual. Below you will find a list of some of the resources that played a role in my healing journey. Browse through these lists and start with one resource that resonates with you. I pray and believe there is some form of healing available to you in your unique journey and in His perfect timing. Hang in there.</image:caption>
